It's official. ..oder so.

Guess it's about time that I make it official.. I'm something like a teammanager now. Somehow I hat that word. 'Teammanager' - yuck. It sounds so official, almost pretentious. And aren't those the guys who never skated good enough but have a big mouth and want to be a part of the hype? Well, OK, I am part of that hype and could never really skate but at least I don't talk shit - hopefully..

However, what I will be doing from now on is taking care of some Skaters who will form a Swiss Nomad Team. The usual story; barely enough money to organise trips and shoot pictures. Only plenty of motivation and an urge to do things for the fun of it. And.. maybe an idealistic aspect.

Wondering how things will turn out..

Thomas - Nollie Backside Tailslide.

Dieses Foto zu machen hatte auch seine Besonderheit. Gleich rechts vom Bild war eine Firmen-Autowaschanlage wo etwa zehn Autobesitzer aus dem Balkan ihre BMWs und andere Limos aufgereiht hatten um sie zu waschen. Es machte den Eindruck als ob ein Angestellter am Sonntag sein eigenes kleines Geschäft am laufen hätte und seine Kollegen für 20.- ihr Auto waschen liess. Als wir anfingen das Rail zu skaten schauten wir uns kurz in die Augen und hatten gleich dieses stille Einverständniss a la 'Ich sag dem Chef nicht dass ihr das Rail kaputt macht und ihr erzählt ihm nichts von meinem Sonntagsgeschäft'..

Somehow the pictures I shoot with Pascal always turn out nice. No bangers, just shots I really like. Will focus more on stuff like this from now on. Stuff I like. No shooting for tricks - Shooting for pics!

Had some bad blood with this dude. Lived with him for a while and in the end we didn't like each other much. But after all and some time you start to remember the good times you had.. Basil is one of a kind and surely provoked me to look at myself from a different point of view. I'm deeply grateful that he did so.
I took the picture after we've been screenprinting some NEXT decks in the cellar of the Network. That's were all the 'blood' actually comes from.

Das waren noch Zeiten. Der Herr Herren hatte noch keine gebrochene Beine gehabt und der Dimitri war noch in Zürich. Und man skatete noch Spots von denen heutzutage noch nicht mal geträumt wird. Gut, man könnte jetzt auch sagen, dass die meisten erst einmal von solchem Pop träumen müssten bevor sie auf den Gedanken kommen könnten solch eine Ledge zu skaten.
Wenn ich mich recht erinnere hat Michael damals auch Fakie Backside Tailslides an die Ledge rangepoppt. Keine Ahnung mehr wieso wir dann gegangen sind. Hatten warscheinlich Hunger, oder dachten, dass die Welt noch nicht für einen solchen Trick bereit wäre.. Das war so 1999.
