I'm off to Vancouver tomorrow! A bunch of last Pictures of here will follow though - as soon as I got access to the net again. I took these near the heater we have, in spite of never having to chop wood anymore.

I had to think about that Stone Formation which reminded me of a robot. Was it a coincidence or did somebody make it on purpose? As a matter of fact I figured out that I was quite ignorant and that these little (or sometimes very big) arrangements have a special meaning to the Inuit, the Canadian Natives, or Eskimos as we call them in Europe. Here's what I found out about the Symbols called Inukshuk: '..meaning "likeness of a person" in Inuktitut (the Inuit language) The Inuit make inuksuit (plural) in different forms and for different purposes: to show directions to travellers, to warn of impending danger, to mark a place of respect, or to act as helpers in the hunting of caribou. Similar stone figures were made all over the world in ancient times, but the Arctic is one of the few places where they still stand. An inukshuk can be small or large, a single rock, several rocks balanced on each other, round boulders or flat. Inuit tradition forbids the destruction of inuksuit.'
Nicht mehr lange und ich kann mich wieder selbst im Tram fotografieren. Die Besonderheiten Vancouvers warten auf uns.

Never trust an Elk. As soon as you turn your back on them they'll kick you. One of those fuckers must have thought I was a predator or that I might steal it's hay and gave me a couple of punches. They attack frontal and use their front legs. And they don't show any signs of aggression before they take on you. They can be peacefully eating and just snap from one second to the next, those lunatics.
